The SEC is a great conference, but it's just Florida and the 11 Dwarfs. Bama is the only other good team in the conference, but there not close to Florida's level.
What? By the end of the year the 4th place SEC team could win the National Title over whoever the BCS picks. SEC is tough from top to bottom. I hate the SEC and only pull for them when they play the Big 12. As far as teams go I hate Tennessee and Oklahoma the same and hope they both could lose every game even if they were to play each other.Quote:

sorry, SEC may be considered the best conference but the 4th place team year in and year out would get killed in the BCS title game. as for tough from top to bottom, not really. was Tennessee really that tough last year? how about Vandy year in and year out? i could whine about the BLATANT holds on VT's kick returns, esp the TD when the guy OBVIOUSLY held Mark Barron, but THATS FOOTBALL.

give it up, VT isnt very good, they will compete in the ACC but wont be able to stay close to any of the elite teams
There are three things in major college athletics that anybody with half a brain should know. They are the following, in no particular order:
The SEC is the best at football.
The ACC is the best at basketball.
The University of North Carolina has the best athletic program in the nation when considering all sports.
Anybody who argues one of those threee things doesn't carry much weight with me.
