Great weather for a "Chokie" cobbler!!!
The SEC is a great conference, but it's just Florida and the 11 Dwarfs. Bama is the only other good team in the conference, but there not close to Florida's level.
What? By the end of the year the 4th place SEC team could win the National Title over whoever the BCS picks. SEC is tough from top to bottom. I hate the SEC and only pull for them when they play the Big 12. As far as teams go I hate Tennessee and Oklahoma the same and hope they both could lose every game even if they were to play each other.
Bama was clearly the better team, but what "lucky breaks" are you talking about? The refs call the PF on Johnson when he tackled the QB on the sideline and rolled him OOB's? Or the ref "missing" about 3-4 takedowns on woriilds one which prevented a sack and allowed Bama to get a 1st on their 1st half td drive? Or the 1st down run by Williams which the refs spotted a yard and a half from where he went down when VT was down 27-24 and on the ensuing play where "holding" was called on DeChristopher on Williams' 1st down run, the hands surely looked in to me! And tell me how many players you have witnessed pushing referees and not get ejected from the freaking game!! H@ll, the cheap shot on Render should have been enough!
Like I said, Bama was the better team, bigger, faster, stronger. But the refs sucked @$$.
sorry, SEC may be considered the best conference but the 4th place team year in and year out would get killed in the BCS title game. as for tough from top to bottom, not really. was Tennessee really that tough last year? how about Vandy year in and year out? SEC has their dogs just all other conference's. Last year the SEC was down with really only 2 good teams.
dude, give it up.
you are acting like a little child, making all those excuses
wanna talk about penalties? bama tried their best to keep VT in the game, but even with all those stupid mental mistakes, they still dominated a team that just isnt as good as them.
you make me laugh by your pitiful-ness. you truly believe the refs were out to get VT and screwed them. no, they didnt.
you try and say all this bull**** thats simply not true.
mcclain didnt SHOVE a ref on purpose, the ref got in his face and mcclain was waving his arms.
cry some more, crybaby
i could whine about the BLATANT holds on VT's kick returns, esp the TD when the guy OBVIOUSLY held Mark Barron, but THATS FOOTBALL.
you give VT fans a bad name by getting on here, crying like a lil girl, and acting like the big bad refs gave Bama the game.
give it up, VT isnt very good, they will compete in the ACC but wont be able to stay close to any of the elite teams
There are three things in major college athletics that anybody with half a brain should know. They are the following, in no particular order:
The SEC is the best at football.
The ACC is the best at basketball.
The University of North Carolina has the best athletic program in the nation when considering all sports.
Anybody who argues one of those threee things doesn't carry much weight with me.
I don't think he's really blaming the refs. He said like twice in the post that Bama was clearly the better team. I didn't see the game because:
1. I checked all the channels on the dorm TV. No VT game at all.
2. I could have watched it on espn360 but they weren't playing it. Instead they were playing games like Idaho vs. New Mexico.
